What to expect
We will be searching the rockpools for lots of hermit crabs, shore crabs, amphipods, periwinkles, dog whelks, top shells, flat periwinkles, limpets, anemone, shrimp and all the other usual suspects!
What a better way to start your day, in the fresh air surrounded by Mother Nature and all her fabulous treasures 😊🦀
Meeting at The Queens Head Pub, Cullercoats, 6 Front Street, NE30 4QB at the picnic benches while we wait for everyone 10:30am.
There’s a short walk and a few steps to get down to that section of beach. The main bay is no good for rock pooling so we always head to a little cove (Jakeys Bay).
